Can my panel handle an EV charger?

Many 100-amp panels can, with the right charger setting or a load-management device. We run a load calculation first. If you do need more capacity, see electrical panel upgrades.

Hardwired charger or NEMA 14-50 outlet?

Hardwired is our usual recommendation: it allows higher charging speeds, has fewer failure points and suits outdoor locations. A 14-50 outlet makes sense if you want to take the charger with you.

How long does installation take?

Most home EV charger installations in California take two to four hours once the permit is in hand. Long conduit runs or trenching can make it a full day.

Do you install Tesla chargers for non-Tesla cars?

Yes. We install the Tesla Wall Connector, the Universal Wall Connector and J1772 chargers, and we'll help you choose based on the vehicles you own now and may own later.

Do I need a permit for an EV charger in California?
