Can you install a fan where there's only a light?

Yes. The usual upgrade is swapping the light's box for a fan-rated box or brace that can carry the weight and movement. The existing wiring can often be reused.

Can you install a fan where there's no fixture at all?

Yes. We run a new cable from a switch location, install a rated box and add wall control. Attic access makes it easier but is not required.

Do you assemble the fan?

Yes. Buy the fan you like or ask us for a recommendation, and we'll assemble, hang, wire and balance it.

What size fan do I need?

As a guide: 42 to 48 inches for small bedrooms, 52 inches for most rooms and 60 inches or more for large living areas. Ceiling height sets the downrod length.

Can the fan and light be on separate switches?
