Electricians in every region of California

Electrical work in a foggy coastal town is different from work in the Central Valley heat or a mountain cabin. Our city pages cover what matters locally.

San Francisco Bay Area

Older panels meet new loads here: EV chargers, heat pumps, induction ranges and batteries. Most jobs start with a load calculation. Electricians in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland.

Greater Los Angeles

1920s bungalows, post-war tract homes, hillside houses and ADUs. Capacity is the usual question, and 200-amp upgrades are common. Electricians in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Glendale.

San Diego County

A strong solar and battery market, where panel capacity, EV charging and backup power are closely linked. Electricians in San Diego, Chula Vista, Oceanside.

Orange County

EV chargers, pool and spa circuits, kitchen remodels and home automation, often planned around HOA rules. Electricians in Anaheim, Irvine, Santa Ana.

Inland Empire

Air conditioning runs most of the year. Sun-baked panels age faster and summer peaks expose weak breakers. Electricians in Riverside, San Bernardino, Fontana.

Sacramento Valley

Triple-digit summers work air conditioners, pool pumps and attic fans hard. Panel upgrades are often paired with EV charging or solar. Electricians in Sacramento, Elk Grove, Chico.

San Joaquin Valley

Long, hot summers and plenty of original 100-amp panels. Rural properties add wells, shops and ag buildings to the load. Electricians in Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton.

Central Coast

Salt air and fog corrode outdoor equipment early. Winter storms and fire weather make backup power worth planning. Electricians in Santa Barbara, Salinas, San Luis Obispo.

Sierra foothills and the far north

Long, tree-lined power lines, snow and safety shutoffs. Generators and transfer switches are frequent requests. Electricians in Roseville, Redding, Truckee.

Common questions

Which parts of California do you serve?

Bayshore Electrical Services & Design takes calls from every region of California, from the Bay Area and Sacramento Valley to Los Angeles, the Inland Empire and San Diego County. Use the locations page to find your city.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?

Yes. Call (888) 633-7804 any time for a burning smell, sparking outlet, loss of power or a breaker that will not reset. See our emergency electrician page for what to do while you wait.

My breaker keeps tripping. What should I do?

Unplug what's on the circuit and reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off and call. The cause is usually an overload, a short or a ground fault, and our electrical repair team will find which.

How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?

Warning signs include frequent trips, a full panel, fuses instead of breakers, or plans to add an EV charger, solar or air conditioning. A load calculation settles the question. Read more about electrical panel upgrades.

Can you install a Tesla or other Level 2 EV charger?

Yes, for every major brand. We check panel capacity, pull the permit and install the circuit and charger. See EV charger installation.

Is old wiring dangerous?

Knob-and-tube, aluminum and cloth-insulated wiring each carry risks as they age. An electrical inspection tells you the condition, and rewiring can be done in stages.

Should I get a generator or a battery?

Generators run as long as they have fuel. Batteries are silent and recharge from solar. Compare generator installation with solar and battery backup.
